Bought this firearm one month ago went to the range pulled it out of the box manhandled the slide for about two minutes fifty times more or less that has always been my breaking in period and it has worked so far. No Lubricant or disassemble same thing with the mag I use a wooden Spoon handle and same two minutes then I shootout 50 rounds of something good then bad and then of course ugly. This pistol shot 150 rounds without a glitch and I did try several double taps with each box. The slide is solid and smooth the trigger is what I call helpful not scratchy or hard. The magazine is Beretta made in itali and has a nice nickel finish. The iron sights are very nice and set accurately. I will shoot about 500 rounds more hopefully without a glitch at which time I will definitely consider this a full-time Carry.

I went to the range 3 times and fired about 600 rounds, 200 per visit. Out of 200 each time I had 6-7 malfunctions, failure to eject causing double feeds. Fired shell just stays in the chamber. I am using Winchester USA Full Metal Jacket 9 mm Luger 115-Grain. I am disappointed since I intended this to be my home defense gun and I cannot fully trust it. Gun seems good but I just can't pass this issue.

I've tried 3 different brands if hollow points and it will not feed any of them. Ball ammo loads fine. Buy something else

I waited to review until I fired about a 1,000 rounds or so. I wanted to make sure I was past any break in or ammo type issues. I bought the Stoeger STR-9 after comparing it to the Smith & Wesson M&P mainly because it had virtually the same feel for about half the price. Since I am a novice with handguns it seemed a good place to start. I have not been disappoint in the least, it is easy to use, very accurate out of the box and feels great in my hands. I have not experienced any widespread jamming as others have mentioned. I think I maybe had 3 casing jam in all the time I have owned it and in those instances the gun had not been cleaned since the last firing. I have not tried using hollow point ammo but am going to try a magazine next trip to the range, that would be an issue for home defense.

This is a very well built gun. Fires every time the trigger is pulled. I will buy more. I also found a site that sells the magazines.

I have shot a lot of different handguns and this one has proven time and time again that it is accurate and reliable. I've had had 1 malfunction out of 5000 rounds being fired from and that was due to my own error. I whisky wristed it. Don't miss out. You'll regret it.

The Stoeger STR9 is a winner for range or carry. It is every bit as reliable as handguns costing two to three times as much and it has no trouble firing any 9MM ammo I've ever fed it. The only downside to it would be the single mag that comes with initial purchase. Any additional mags have to be ordered and they are on the pricey side.

I bought the Stoeger STR-9 about a week ago. I've fired a couple boxes of Sig Saur VCrown hollow points through it and I'm very impressed. It hasn't given me a single issue. I fully get that until it gains more traction there will be limited aftermarket accessories. I've found a decent holster and located multiple sites selling spare magazines all the way up to a 30 round extended. So far I can't complain, and I HIGHLY recommend this pistol!

I bought the STR 9 a couple of months ago. I have taken it to the range 3 times and put at least 300 rounds through it. Absolutely no issues. I wish it came with a second clip. Very accurate.

I bought this gun two months ago. Over 1,000 rounds at this point. One jam, on the very first squeeze (clearly operator error!!) and flawless ever since! You just can't beat this firearm for the price.

Great gun but just be warned, its almost impossible to get back up magazines or parts for this. I have given up on searching for them. I don't think they even make them anymore lol! You should save up the money to get a more popular gun that you can get parts for.

I am a truthful person. I bought the STR-9 because I wanted a heavier home protection firearm. I like the gun. However I had issues with non- ejection which resulted in a double feed. Sent to Benelli for repair. No problems found and when I received it back I had same issues. I saw on YouTube that others had same problem. I sold it back to the dealer. I lost money but it’s ok. I want something that works and protects my family (if needed). Other than the problems I had I did like the gun.

It is a nice pistol and appears well made.. Very hard for me to operate. Hard to pull back the to load the gun and just as hard to pull back to release. Did hold one in the store and the sales person stated it would be sure the size was right for me. It is too big for me to handle comfortably. I went back to the store to make sure of the correct way to use. This was my first pistol and relied on the staff to help me with the process. I wish I would have had other pistols to operate before buying this one. I would really make sure you are able to hold comfortably and the correct size.

Looks nice. Feels good in my hand. Laser was easy to mount. Price was reasonable. It would be so much cooler if I could find some ammo to buy for it.

Great gun, good feel to it, shoots great, nice tight pattern at 25 yards. Really like the grip, hard to find more magazines, would have been nice to have a second or third magazine. But, I like it so much: I bought a second gun. And a great price!

It is a good little handgun, feels right, not too heavy, not too light. Sits in it's case in my headboard, Goes with me when traveling. I am an 85 yr old woman and it is just right for me!

This pistol is affordable but performs great. So easy to use and clean. Very accurate. Feels good in your hand. Recoil is not a problem

I love this gun. It’s great. The spring in it though is super strong though. Someone with a weak grip would have a hard time racking it, clearing it, or breaking it down. I’d prefer a slightly lighter spring.
