1 year agoI tried seven different boxes of ammo. 165 gr SST was the only one to group under an inch at 100 yards out of my rifle.

1 year agoI have shot this ammo for five years now. I have taken four blacktail deer, two black bears, and a spike elk and mule deer with it. Performance is good. It would not be my first choice for elk hunting to take a quartering too shot through a bunch of bone. The bullet is very expansive when it hits an animal. I usually try to shoot behind the shoulder on game because this bullet expands rapidly and you can loose lots of meat if you hit a lot of bone. It’s a very solid choice for western hunting and I wouldn’t hesitate to use it again.

1 year agoI haven’t had a chance to try these yet. But, I give 5 stars because my daughter harvested her first whitetail with Hornady’s Custom Lite .308 SST. At 75 yards it dropped in its tracks. If the SST projectile performs that well in lite load, I can’t wait to see the results in a Superformance load. In my experiences, you can’t go wrong with Hornady ammunition.
