1 year agowell constructed 1911 with approx 5.5lb trigger pull. Shot 4in groups at 10, 15, 20 yds. recently upgraded sites to truGlo tfx fiber optic and dovetail groves needed to be filed to custom fit. also added wilson combat maGwell and it fit without issue. Added qtr inch bumper pads on stock MEc gar mags and speed loading is much better and still CONCEILABLE. Taurus shop has decent Iwb holster and g10 grip options.

1 year agoI have searched for 18 months to find a Commander 1911 9mm and had almost settled on having to purchase a $1000+ one to get what I wanted and then found this site. Smooth, crisp trigger right out of the box. Glad I waited. Taurus didn't disappoint with this one.

1 year agoFor the price, this is a great deal. You should clean and lube - especially the trigger. It's as accurate as the shooter and built well.

1 year agoAll the features found on a high priced 1911. Shoots great, no hangups, super mags made by MecGar,same as high priced guns...high priced gun owners buy these anyway ...Gun is tight, no rattles, Taurus has really stepped up their game. Great sights,and trigger, dull finish, no problem. replaced grips with crimson trace laser... You won't miss with this one.
