The G3 continues the proven polymer-frame profile now in a full-frame configuration, with generous stippling patches across the grip for maximum control and retention in any shooting condition, an ergonomic palm swell and side-frame Memory Pads that provide quick, positive hand positioning. The frame has an integrated Picatinny rail. A manual safety and slide release lever are optimally positioned above the thumb for easy manipulation. A refined element of the G3 is the 6-lb. trigger, designed with a smooth take-up and a surprisingly crisp, clean break exceeding that of typical striker-fired pistol trigger performance. A short reset promotes quick, controlled follow-up shots.

2 years agoSo here’s the thing. Mine has failures to feed. They’re rare with ball ammo. But with hollow points it would happen with every magazine or so. I tried a few different ammos and eventually Ended up taking 500 grit sandpaper and hand polishing my guns feed ramp! Since then I’ve shot maybe 400 rounds through it. Only one failure to feed with those and that was a flat nose round. It seems to like (Winchester silver tips 115grain now as I’ve put 40 rounds of that through it. As well as racked them

2 years agoEverytime I order from PSA it is fast and easy. The order was shipped right away to my FFL and it arrived in a couple of days. After getting the process from my local PD I took it to the range. I put 200 rounds of range ammo through it with no hiccups whatsoever. I already have the G3C so it felt very comfortable in my hand. Very little recoil and very accurate. So glad I got this and I highly recommend it to anyone. Will definitely be shopping at PSA in the future for firearms, ammo, and accessories.

1 year agoThis is my second Taurus handgun. I must say Taurus never disappoints. The gun shoots great and handles wonderfully!! I love the feel of the gun and can’t wait shoot it again! Just because the price is cheap doesn’t mean the gun is cheap.

1 year agoI purchased a Taurus G3 full size and it was great right out of the box! It digested 115 grain, 124 grain, and 147 grain ammunition, all brass cased, without an issue. I then did two upgrades to make it an even better pistol. First I installed fiber optic sights to help my aging eyes. Secondly I installed a stainless steel striker guide to replace the factory plastic guide. The stainless steel guide makes the trigger pull a bit smoother. All in all a great gun at a great price! I recently purchased a second one for my wife as she also enjoyed shooting it.

1 year agoLooks nice. Feels nice. That’s about it. After paying an ffl dealer it was more than the one they had sitting on their shelf. The pistol is not accurate. I’m not an expert but I have several other pistols that I like way more and shot way better. You get what you pay for

1 year agoFeels good, looks good, ergonomic, great ammo capacity. But out of the box, you can only shoot ball cartridges. Any aggressive self defense hollowpoints won't even feed. I bought two when they first came out they were so cheap. But same issue on both. I have yet to polish the feed ramp and this should help, but I read another review here that says there's still some misfires after that. Funny thing is the G2c, the little brother of this gun can take any HP rounds all day. Another option

1 year agoI bought this for my first gun, and this has been a pleasure to use. I went to a local range to get some practice in and I have no complaints. It's not the first gun I've shot so I have something to compare it to. After I ran a few hundred rounds through it, it's still smooth, and it's easy to teardown and clean. I have a in waist kydex holster for it, and it sits just right. Not too heavy, and doesn't get in the way. 5 stars was easy to give to this. I have found no issues with the

1 year agoSad thing is I like the feel of this gun. Problem is it keeps jamming. If I would have seen the other reviews about these jams I would have not bought it. This was going to be my back up self defense carry, but I have little confidence in it now. I will use some other back up and use this for range practice. Really disappointed in this gun because, like I said, I love the feel of it. And the jamming occurs with round point FMJ rounds.

1 year agoBought first G3 in 2020, few thousand rounds since then. Great pistol. Reliable, accurate, eats any ammo I've tried, never had a jam. Feels good in the hand. Using a second as a safe gun. G3 was reliable so I bought a G2C for EDC in 2020. Again, 100% reliable. Now I'm to get a couple G3's for the Mrs... She fancies herself as Mrs. Smith and wants matching pistols. Can get both for the price of one "full price" gun.

1 year agoI've been using Taurus pistols ever since the PT111 came out and they are great. My experiences with Taurus customer service have also went well; although the quick response time may be due to Taurus being located in Miami and myself living 300 miles North of that. The trigger on the G3 is excellent and a lot better than the triggers on the PT111 and PT709. I've never had a problem feeding any ammo through the G3, everything from wide-mouthed HP's like Federal 147gr HST's to reloaded

1 year agoAbsolutely love my G3! I haven't found ammo yet that fails to cycle. Steel, brass and aluminum casings cycle as they should. Home defense rounds rounds as well without any issues. Bang for your buck (no pun intended) well worth the money. Trigger pull seems to be a bit long.

1 year agoI shoot more accurately with the G3 than with my other nines, probably because of the way it fits my hand. Last night at the range I showed several friends the G3 and they all handled it. The consensus was that the grip was one of the best around.

1 year agoI own a couple of the g2c's and at the price I couldn't pass up the big brother. Only thing I would like to change is keep the loaded chamber indicator that can be both seen and felt. Yes you can see if it is loaded by the small hole in the rear of the chamber but you need enough like for that. Gun shoots great and has functioned flawlessly.

1 year agoI bought this gun because I own the G3c, which I would recommend. This one was somewhat a disappointment. It looks good but, on the range, it had a few quirks. Ran about 100 rounds of Federal 115g and some of the rounds I saw sparks coming from the bottom of the slide. Some rounds did not fire on the first pull but did fire on the second. The gun does not fit my hand very well. Going to sell this one and get something else.

1 year agoHandles well. Great grip! Fired about 150 rounds out of the box! Trigger has a short rest. Didn't think of it as a budget firearm. For any one considering the G3 trust me you want be disappointed. If someone one put the G3 in front of you and a Glock and you didn't see the name you would be impressed. Sure there are some difference but in my opinion not enough to pay the price difference.

1 year agoIt's a good shooter so far with about 400 rounds through it but it does not like all ammo. The Norma 108g MHP do not work. It could partially be the ammo, it seems to be just longer than normal as it gets hung up in the magazine and I have had at least 3 rounds that wouldn't go up the feed ramp. I had one feed issue on a Sierra 124 HP when I was inserting a magazine, the first round hung up on the feed slide, but I may not have pulled the slide all the way back. I ran about 100 Sierra 124

1 year agoPut a couple hundred rounds through it. I have had 0 issues with it. Its become one of my favorite guns to take to the range. Placed a Viridian RFX-35 Micro Reflex Green Dot Sight on it and shoots like a dream, and I am hitting center target at 15 yards. Also if you have large hands the grip fits like a glove. Great shooting gun....highly recommended.

1 year agoNo failures after hundreds of rounds and a cleaning using cheap remanufactured and expensive ammo. Absolutely best bang for your buck from palmetto. And cheaper through them than my local dealer. Thanks PSA.

1 year agoI wanted a reliable edc pistol I wouldn’t be embarrassed to open carry. This pistol has trouble running protection plus ammo. This is not a problem for me personally. I am totally satisfied with the G3s performance with traditional ammunition. Fun to shoot.
