The G3 continues the proven polymer-frame profile now in a full-frame configuration, with generous stippling patches across the grip for maximum control and retention in any shooting condition, an ergonomic palm swell and side-frame memory pads that provide quick, positive hand positioning. The frame has an integrated Picatinny rail. A manual safety and slide release lever are optimally positioned above the thumb for easy manipulation. A refined element of the G3 is the 6 lb trigger, designed with a smooth take-up and a surprisingly crisp, clean break exceeding that of typical striker-fired pistol trigger performance. A short reset promotes quick, controlled follow-up shots.

2 years agoReceived it today and took it down to see how clean it was inside. It looked like they shot a lot of test rounds as it was FILTHY. Feed ramp had brass in it oil all over it. Well i cleaned it up to like new condition and took it out to see how it shot. It was loaded with 124 grain Winchester NATO rounds and as bad as it looked it shot great. 50 rounds without a problem and sights were dead on. It runs as good if not better than both my G2c's. 2 years agoI was really surprised with this. I know a lot of folks are not Taurus fans but you may want to consider this. I really liked it, see for yourself and decide.

1 year agoDidn’t know what to expect coming from a xd40 sub. The full frame and grip feel good in the hand. Especially if you have meat hooks like me. Great buy for the money

1 year agoSo, this is the first pistol I've ever owned. Ran 200 rounds through it today. Went bang every time. Feels perfect in my hands. Lightweight. Low recoil.

1 year agoTook it out of the box and it fired perfectly. Ran several boxes of different grain bullets and shoots great. Just like any weapon, it does prefer some ammo over others. Got it for concealed carry. Won’t leave home without it.

1 year agoI own the Taurus g2c and g3 both are excellent guns and you can't beat them for the money. I own several guns some way more expensive but none anymore reliable. My g3 has way over 5800 rounds through it and never had any malfunctions at all using all different types of ammo from cheap ammo to reloads to plus p to plus p plus.

1 year agoThis was my first Taurus. I loved that it was test fired from the factory. I could tell upon opening the factory packaging because of the residue. I am glad that it came with a 15 and 17 gun clip. The guns is extremely easy to disassemble and clean. You can’t beat the price for this item. Had to add the green dot for easier target acquisition. Will buy more once the prices and inventory settle.

1 year agoNotice the ad does not mention the number of mags?? That’s the same trick J&G Sales does. Remove the spare mag, advertise it $20 cheaper than the competitors then charge $29.95 for a extra mag

1 year agoFeels great in the hand. I took some accuracy shots at 3, 5, 7 and 10 yards. The gun is shooting a little low. At first I thought it was me, but testing at those different ranges produced the same results. I was running 115 grain ammo and I'm hearing that ideally this gun likes 124 grain or better. Still a great gun for the money!

1 year agoHave Not got it yet but, I tried my friends at the range. What a major improvement in the trigger over my stock PT 111 G2. Change the G2 trigger a few years ago. This trigger is comparable to it. The ergonomics of the grip are better as well. The G2 has a more than a 1000 rounds through er. I expect this one to be just as reliable.

1 year agoDue to local ammo shortages I've only been able to put few dozen rounds through it (so 4 instead of 5) but it's been super smooth so far. Love the feel & handling. Probably going to purchase this one for some of my family that are new to shooting.

1 year agoGun is great. But they got me on the mag. Bought G3c a month back and got 3 mags. The G3 only shipped with one. Description wasn't clear on that. BEWARE.

1 year agoI was pleasantly surprised with this gun. The trigger has a bit of take up, but breaks cleanly. It eats whatever Ammo I feed it ( when I can find any) and is accurate. I would have liked it to come with a hard case, but at sub $300 it’s not that big a deal. Without question the best sub $300 gun I’ve shot.

1 year agoThe First Taurus purchase was in 1993. Brazilian copy of Beretta 92 S. Since that time I never had any problems with my firearms. These Taurus G3 9mm gives you great grip, it feels very solid. Shoot 150 rounds - no problemo, even more, accurate than my Glock 48. One funny thing - 15 round magazine, which comes with a gun, when loaded, has unexplainable noise when you shake it. I recommend this, cannot beat the price.

1 year agoOutstanding quality and value for the price. Read several reviews before purchasing, i agreed with all of the other 5 star ratings.

1 year agoDon't hesitate on this Taurus G3, you will love it. My favorite CCW here in Utah. Can't hurt it, shoots well, 100% reliable with any 9mm; steel, reloads, new factory, premium HST, Gold Dot. Really a fun gun. Maybe I was bored with my Glock 19, but I like the safety and multiple trigger strike feature. Stack it up against any medium 9mm out there. Rough texture grip is nice and grip size fits my hands well. Gone through ~1200 rounds to this point, running good. Nice thin and lightweight. P226

1 year agoHave not been able to even fire this weapon due to the fact that the first round jammed up against the ramp. I myself, cannot get it freed up. Very disappointed in this pistol. I love my PT740, however, with this experience I think I will stay away from Taurus for a while.

1 year agoSurprised To be an expensive gun I was pleasantly surprised at its quality and what really surprised me the most was it has a pretty nice trigger.

1 year agoFinally received my G3 here in Texas! Shipping was 2 days after the 10 day shipping wait. Besides the wait which wasn’t a big deal, I’m going to hit the range soon and let a few fly down range. I also need to zero my green dot on my light/laser combo. Also have a 20 round mag in the way!
