Taurus M856 Defender 3" .38 Special Revolver, Tungsten – 2-8563CNS

Good little house gun, 3 inch heavy barrel has great balance and trigger was decent out of the box. It shot to the sights out to 20 yards. Good value but even better after a trigger job. It comes with extra rubber grip and black front sight extras in the box. California stores should stock these I had to order online. Almost S&W quality much better than others in its price class.(looking at you Charter & Rock Island)

If it's based on looks a lone. The defender wins hands down. Can't beat the price for a light weight revolver. Don't look past buying a Taurus. They make a quality revolver. Can't wait to try it out. The cerakate finish makes it a big bang in mind

Well balanced and easy sight picture acquisition with the night sights. Wife fired in +P .38 with no issues...though I did have to trade out the installed grips with the smaller set included.

Super comfy right out of box, read and seen numerous reviews! All good! Best feature is the six shot cylinder.

This is my first revolver and I am happy with it! It has a good feel, solid build, and easier to handle than I originally thought regarding the kick using 158g FMJ round. It also fits well with a pocket holster.

I placed an order for this gun and two days later it was at the FFL and ready for pickup. My 856 is approximately the same width as my old model 85, but with better sights and a one inch longer barrel. Not only does the barrel provide a better sight radius it reduces muzzle flip as well. The workmanship and fitting is up to the quality that I always expect from Taurus, can’t wait to fire it!

Overall a very good revolver. Taurus has been putting out quality pistols and revolvers for a very long time now. Don’t hesitate to buy if you have been eyeballing any of these, they are worth it. I added pictures of mines. It’s been polished to a mirror shine.

Finish is darker than pictured but a very nice gun, the grip is awesome. Nice gun to add to my collection and the 3 inch barrel makes a difference over a snubnose.

It’s an ultra lightweight revolver so tons of recoil, not the painful kind just the really hard to manage kind. Grip is surprisingly ergonomic for the price, would recommend for use within punching distance lol.

Pistol came in about 2 days after the order was placed. Excellent customer service. The Taurus 856 shoots true, no issues at all with the first 50 rounds. Very nice hardware.

I was really impressed with it's balanced weight in my hand. It's reliable and makes for a good conceal carry weapon. Would recommend to anyone, like me, who prefers a revolver in lieu of a semi-auto. Guns.com made the acquisition and delivery to my local dealer easy and painless.

I have been looking for an 856 for about 6 months. I found it at GUNS.COM and bought it. It arrive in about 4 working days. I took it straight to the range. It proformed better than I expected. Straight out of the box it was ready to go. I put 50 rounds through it and the sights were dead on.
