Taurus Public Defender Polymer Flat Dark Earth .45 Colt 2-inch 5Rds Stainless Cylinder

This is my second Taurus 45/410. I wanted a lighter weight for TX hog hunting. Full factory loads have heavy recoil but manageable. I reload lighter loads for rattlers and hogs. First 2 rounds are birdshot for close up snakes and then three 45 colts for wounded feral hogs up close. I do recommend this revolver for my type of application.

Affordable LIte weight & powerful, home defense & hide-a-way gun i.e. shop, vehicle, boat, great back-up gun for hunting or walking trails or to carry while fishing on the banks or keep in utv, plus taurus's service has always been a bonus, at least for me.

Has a big kick by perfect for self defense keep it in my house and makes it feel much more secure. I think between the 45LC and the 410. It should handle most situations

purchase the taurus judge public defender to carry when I walk my dog at night and for a second gun to store down stairs in the home love the way it shoots only able to shoot the 45 colt at the range haven’t shot any 410 shells out it yet have to fine somewhere to do so bought a holster for it to carry over nice gun so far

My wife and I both have our concealed LTC but her hands are small and she is not jumpy with her S&W 380. We bought the Judge for primarily home defense and have it loaded with two 410 8 shot shells and four Defender Slugs. Her thinking is spray and pray for the first two and then deep breath and better aim with last four. She LOVES it.

It was my wife Mother’s Day gift. She loves it. She shot 45 long colt and burned a box of 410 shot shells. Small for a female’s grip. We have a range on our horse ranch. Weather permits were plinking cans, target and clay pigeons.
