Defective out of the box. Straight from the box, this TX-22 failed to feed CCI minimags, winchester super-x, federal round nose and federal hollow point. The rounds get hung up on the magazine, the feed ramp and the chamber. The slide crushes the rounds. Issues are with all three magazines that shipped with the pistol. Fired 300 rounds with over 2...Read More Read more about review stating Not very promising

It is a nice looking pistol but unfortunately would not fire when I took it to the range. The rounds were not being struck properly by the firing pin. I called Taurus and they were very nice and didn't seem too surprised. They told me that it was an incorrectly formed barrel and they put one in the mail that day. I have not yet received the new ba...Read More Read more about review stating Replacement Barrel

This is one of the best experiences I've ever had shopping online. I didn't think it would come so fast. Thank you

I have over 3 hundred rounds threw this pistol and have not been able to cycle a full mag. The pistol will not cycle the round into the chamber no matter what ammo I use

The first hundred rounds or so had about 10% stovepipes with Federal Range Pack 40gr LRN I removed 3 turns from the return spring and performance improved to 100% ejection and feeding on all brands of ammo tried, with about 400 more rounds fired. Your mileage may vary on unmodified spring ejection rates, depending on ammo. Nice gun, fun to shoot and the Vortex Venom fits well.

I have extensive experience in competitive practical shooting. I’ve never previously owned a Taurus firearm as I viewed them as a lower tier of quality. I bought the TX22 based on the recommendation of a friend who is a professional firearm instructor. I wanted a handgun to use as a trainer in place of my open class Glock 34 competition pistol. All I can say is WOW. This pistol is accurate, reliable, & very well balanced. The factory trigger breaks at 4.5#. After the addition of a Vortex

Amazing for the price. It will outshoot most of my high dollar .22’s. I was very pleasantly surprised with this firearm. I love the fiber optic sights. It is easy to load 16 rounds in the magazine also.

i went to my target not really expecting anything special. boy was i pleased. hardly hadthink to move the sights and less than a one inch at 25yds. i mounted my holosun 507c red dot and took out the center .i found cleaning very easy love the way sight and barrel stay solid. i don't think you could go wrong with the tx comp

I love this gun! It is so damn fun to shoot. Fits perfectly in my hand and is so smooth to shoot. I don't think I'd get another competition model but will definitely get another one.

Bought this for my husband for Christmas. We took it to the range last night and both really enjoyed it. Feels great in the hand and is very accurate - more so than any of our other .22 pistols. We bought a TruGlo true-tec micro 3MOA red dot sight for it and it worked great also. Fired 100 rounds straight out of the case. Had no mis feeds first three mags, and only 4 out of the entire 100, but we hadn’t lubed it prior and being a new gun, not surprised. The case and foam with deep cutouts to

Other than a little picky on ammo, great working and build. A good cleaning and lubrication and it’s a slick and pin point shooter. Swamp fox justice Red dot was the easiest to add i have ever done. Great feeling hand grip makes me think about the standard version as well.

Been very pleased with my TX-22 Competition. Very reliable & accurate. Likes HV ammo better when new breaking in. Hasn’t been to picky once shot some. Nice trigger.

This thing has 2000rds of the Uber cheap Walmart ammo (Federal AutoMatch) through it without cleaning it even once. (Torture testing it!) Topped with a Leupold DeltaPoint Pro, it’s a phenomenal RFS shooter. Even shot the cheap stuff in 37* temps and never failed once. Only gun all day in our group with ZERO failures. DeadAir Mask HD is in jail currently to go on the business end.

I’ve shot them all, this is the one! Intelligent ergos, genius red dot mounting solution that keeps it from reciprocating and keeps it true to the barrel. I already had a tx22 that had to have a barrel replacement due to awful chatter marks, trust me spend the extra and buy this model you will never regret it. The only malfunctions I have had were due to Pro Mag magazines. Several bricks of auto match, and CCI standard velocity through oem mags and oem mags with Tabdemkross 5 round extensions,

Excellent pistol, excellent accuracy. I also have a standard TX22 that I upgraded the trigger, but this one won't get that upgrade. Personally, I have a VERY difficult time acquiring the dot on the reflex sight that I installed (2 Minute dot), so I installed a Picatinny rail in place of the standard barrel mount so I could mount a larger objective red dot. It works for me...... I wish that the competition upgrade was available so I didn't need to buy this pistol, JUST because I can't shoot both of them at the same time.

a few issues feed into chamber. Seems like it may be a magazine issue. But the gun is great for plinking. very very accurate.

This gun is so much fun to shoot. It feels great in my hands. Mine came with the TK Pro compensator. The added weight at the end of the barrel keeps recoil to almost non-existent. I put a Holosun 507c X2 ACC Vulcan on it. The ingenious way the optic mounts to the fixed barrel means the optic doesn’t move as the gun recycles. So your sight picture doesn’t move. Also, the mounting plate system is first rate. You can mount almost any optic with what comes in the box. I wouldn’t say it is

Love the pistol. Best shooting 22 pistol I ever had. I had to buy a new barrel from Taurus first week after I received it because it would not eject the shells right and would not fire most of the rounds. Purchased it from Palmetto but it came from a different dealer from New Orleans I think. Was not even a Palmetto named dealer. I don't know if gun was used and returned or what but it had been fired. Gun works perfect now with new barrel but wish I didn't have to spend extra money to make it
