Produced from 1851-1872, the Navy is one of the most famous and widely-used cap and ball revolvers ever produced. These dependable guns are perfectly balanced. 1 year agoIt would be better with a 1860 army back strap and trigger guard. Do not like the short handles of the 1851-61 grips. I have converted to the 1860 with backstrap and grips. Better handling, accuracy and feel. Also converted to a wire spring hand and trigger for smoother trigger pull and cocking.

1 year agoIt is a beautiful 36 caliber Navy percussion revolver. It shoots great right out of the box. It shoots a little on the high side and I was using Goex fffg black powder and .375 roundd balls and Remington number 10 percussion caps and I shot 36 rounds without any problems or issues. It is very fun to shoot and it looks awesome and just feels good in my hand. I also bought a Triple K holster for it and it fits great.

1 year agoI have been looking for the "Josey Wales" .36 cal pistol! I have not found one; therefore, I compromised with this pistol! Probably as close as I can get for some time to the "Josey Wales"!

1 year agoMet my expectations. Is a beautiful gun. Pietta made so if wanting an authentic 1861 might be disappointed. This has an 8" bbl and should have 7.5". Warnings are on side of bbl.
