1 year agoThe 1873 clone is the most widely used rifle in Cowboy Action Shooting. All gunsmiths familiar with CAS will have extensive experience with the Uberti, and will be able to "slick it up" to any degree you desire. The rifles come from the factory with truly excellent fit and finish. They are almost too pretty to expose to the rough and tumble of CAS, but don't worry, they will hold up. Make sure that your smith is familiar with CAS tuning and you can't go wrong with a Uberti '73

1 year agoIt's looks and functions like the original Winchester 1873. I'm involved in Cowboy Action Shooting and I had borrowed a friend's rifle and used it for the past year. Finally I found one on Bass Pros web page and ordered it. I wasn't disappointed.

1 year agoScrews are difficult to remove. Might need a gunsmith’s help. Treat all the screws as frozen be extra careful

1 year agoThis rifle has been a joy to shot and show off to my friends and family. Took it out to the range and it shot true and straight from the very first shot. Some ammo tends to hang a little but adding a little grease fix that issue.

1 year agoI have owned many guns over the last 50 years and this is absolutely the best looking I have ever seen. This has a great walnut stock and does not have the reddish finish but a very rich brown oiled look with some of the best color case out there along with a nice checkering. The fit is fantastic. If you looking for a great keepsake you can shoot, here you go. Remember this is a up graded deluxe model and very well worth the extra cost. Also the staff at Cabela's took very great care of my wife and I and was the very best purchase experience we have ever had buying a weapon. Thank you to all :)
