The CCP’s SOFTCOIL gas-delayed blowback system uses gas pressure from the ignited cartridge by directing it through a small port in the barrel in front of the chamber to slow down and delay the rearward motion of the slide. This is accomplished by means of a piston contained inside of a cylinder located under the barrel that opposes the rearward motion of the slide until the gas pressure has declined after the bullet has left the barrel. This allows the slide to end its rearward motion, opening the breech, and ejecting the empty cartridge case.

1 year agoThe gun itself is fine, but wear was a bit more visible than anticipated. That’s not a big deal, unlike the missing special tools (the takedown tool costs $20 from the manufacturer with shipping). In hindsight, the M2 is significantly improved and the original CCP turned out a good, but not great, choice.

1 year agoGreat concealed carry pistol that actually does have a noticeably diminished recoil impulse. Very comfortable in your hands for a subcompact and allows most people to use a full grip rather than 2 fingers. The 3.54in barrel is permanently attached to the receiver which makes this one of the most accurate subcompacts I have ever fired. At 20 meters I was able to easily keep a group within a 5inch circle. Not a single hiccup when firing 300rounds of Blazer aluminum cased 115gr. The only downsize
