I purchased my Max 5 and took it duck hunting in SEMO without putting a single shell through it first. I know better but that’s how things worked out. 3 days of hunting – 4 boxes of shells later and i was all smiles. It held its own against some Benelli’s in my group with one exception. While they had bruised shoulders from shooting equivalent amounts of 3 1/2 inch shells my shoulder felt the same as it did when we arrived. All of us shot Blackcloud. Most impressive of all was how clean it was … Read More

I trust the weatherby name. I grew up watching my Dad shoot and hunt with Weatherby firearms. So it was a no brainer to keep the tradition going. I love hunting Waterfowl with this gun. It is smooth and functions flawlessly.

For Fathers day my two sons surprised me with this wonderful 12 gauge semi auto. We took it out and ran low brass target loads 1200 fps which ran flawlessly… she throws and tracks better than any Shotgun I’ve ever had… I am a fan of Weatherby shotguns as of today!!.. only critique is I need a magazine plug for the hunt and would be nice to have some Weatherby decals for my truck and such…

Had an SA-08 and upgraded to the Element. I am so glad I did. I love this gun and have no complaints. It kills ducks a lot better than the SA-08 did! lol! I would recommend this gun to anyone looking for a good quality, affordable semi-auto.

This is got to be one of the most beautiful guns I’ve had the opportunity to try yet ! Before anyone decides to go buy a Bonelli, Browning, Or any other inertia operated shotgun I encourage You to go to your gun shop and pick up to shoulder one of these beautiful Weatherby quality built shotguns at about half the price of any other shotgun today. I’ve done a lot of research before buying this gun I can find no bad reviews on the Internet or in the field.

I am on my second full season with this gun, and I must say, this gun has out-performed not only my expectations, but any other semi that I have been in the field with. It eats any ammo I put through it.. the lightest 2 3/4 trap loads, to magnum steel and bismuth loads. The light weight is not an issue as the action absorbs the recoil and follow up shots are a breeze. If you are looking for a quality affordable semi, this is the gun. You know it from the moment you shoulder it.

Awesome gun. This is my first inertia gun. Shot sporting clays with my son using all leftover low quality 2 3/4 shells from years of shooting. Gun never hung up. Well balanced and easy to the shoulder. Fiber optic sight really helps to pick out that spot just before the clay. I can’t wait for duck season.

I bought the 20 gauge for upland hunting. Its light enough to carry around for more than a few hours in the field. It handles well and I appreciate that I was able to adjust the drop on the stock to match my cheekbone. I’ve gone out 5 different times and have put 4 boxes of shells thru this shotgun. It cycles flawlessly and quickly using light loads (1200 fps) to heavy loads and has never hung up. I knock birds down and this shotgun gives me great confidence. I’m now looking at purchasing a Weatherby 12 gauge for waterfowl hunting. Well done Weatherby.

Excellent fit and finish, flawless action. I bought the Element 12 ga Waterfowler and a Carlson choke for turkey hunting after weeks of looking at options and couldn’t be happier!

I bought my Weatherby fall of 2019 because I wanted a 12 rather than the 20 I had for goose hunting. I really loved shooting my husband’s Browning A5, but I couldn’t bring myself to spend that much on a shotgun, I found the Weatherby Element (very well priced) and immediately liked the way it shouldered. So I pulled the trigger bought it and took it shooting and then hunting. My husband got his shotgun back when I bought mine and I absolutely love shooting this gun, and even prefer it to my husbands shotgun.

This is my second full season with the Element. When looking for a new shotgun price was a huge factor; the adjust ability and affordability of the Weatherby is unmatched. I have been using the gun for deer hunting, waterfowl locally in Michigan and in Kansas and the gun shoots at least one round of sporting clays per week for league shooting. It currently has 2600 rounds through it. No problems, no hiccups, it just shoots. Couldn’t be happier. I am so pleased with this purchase that I am going … Read More

Love this shotgun. Ordered on a Monday and it arrived at my ffl the next day. I took it to target practice and ran 8 boxes of shells through it with no problem. I’ve taken it dove hunting on multiple occasions and zero issues. I’m still a lousy shot (no fault of the firearm), but shooting this thing is so enjoyable that I don’t get too upset missing birds. Overall, great value purchase based on price and quality. Very happy Weatherby and grabagun

Great gun, great company. My only advice is to buy and aftermarket replacement bolt handle. GRUMPYDUCKCO

Haven't shot it much. Good so far. Will know after pheasant opener. Light and good camo. Good for a hunter.

This is a beautiful shotgun, very lightweight, and very well made. This is my first shotgun and it does have a pretty good kick when shooting it because it is so lightweight, but it is still a great weapon to use on turkeys and ducks.

I haven’t purchased mine yet but will as soon as I get my Benelli SuperNova sold and gone! Have handled both the Element Max-5 and the 18i and I love the element much better because of three things! I like the option of getting a 26” barrel with Element, the green verses the red fiber optic front sight and the rubber on the grip and forearm on the Element much better than the 18i! We’ll do e Weatherby! Will probably look at their over and under next!

Have a pump and wanted a semi-auto. Haven’t shot it a lot yet. Shoots well working with a patterns. Now to shoot some clays getting ready for the next bird season.

I took my new Element out this weekend to duck hunt and shoot some clays. The Weatherby performed flawlessly! I love it’s light weight and the way it shoots. The recoil with 3” duck loads was very manageable. I have Browning, Beretta and Remington shotguns and I would rate the Weatherby above all. I highly recommend the Weatherby Element Waterfowl Max5.
