The Vanguard Badlands is the first production rifle to appear in the popular Badlands Approach Camo. The Approach pattern uses adaptive coloration to construct a neutral color palette that adapts to your surrounds and lighting conditions. It also contains multi-layers visual confusion to ensure that the eye cannot detect where one shape ends and another begins. Vanguard #2 contour barreled action in combination with the Approach pattern gives an ultimate advantage to the hunter during his time afield.

I just received my Weatherby Vanguard Badlands today. It’s beautiful, but fit and finish seem sub par. My burnt bronze cerakote was damaged out of box, a chip down to bare metal and what looks like a scuff mark after chip about 6 inches long. Also, recoil pad looks like no effort was put in to aligning it to the stock. I was super excited for this gun, waited to buy it, and I’m a little bummed it wasn’t perfect out of the box like I hoped. Maybe it will shoot great to make up for it.

This rifle is awesome and add a Leupold 2 X 12 Scope on it and you have a rifle that can hunt any animal (Deer, Elk, Bear, Moose, etc…) at almost any distance (inside 600 yards) in the US. The Vanguards have always been a top notch rifle and now with this Camo it makes it the perfect rifle for the serious hunter.

Finally! A 26” barrel on a vanguard magnum chamber! Now add the updated trigger, cerakote finish, MOA at 100 yds. Guarantee all for well under $1,000.00! You got something to talk about! Just mounted my Nikon monarch BDC and cannot wait to dial everything in! Should be my go to antelope, deer and if I ever draw the tag bighorn sheep rifle! .257 Weatherby magnum! Happy hunting! Impressive rifle!

I purchased in 25-06 and mounted a 50mm scope to it. Took it to the range to sight and season and it is a tack driver. Once I got it where I wanted it, the edges of the hi viz target holes were all touching. You can’t ask for more than that. My bone to pick is that the recoil pad is off a bit and I’ll need to either remove and reattach it or shave some of the over hanging rubber off. The camo pattern looks good but looks stretched a little in a couple of spots. All in all an excellent tool for the woods. First weekend out I dropped (where it was) a moving coyote at 160yds.

Bought the Vanguard Badlands in .308 for an Africa trip coupled with a 3×9 scope. Rifle performed perfectly. Amazing firearm right out of the box, especially when considering the price. Shot multiple different types and sizes of game from short and long distances with confidence. Great looking gun too.

Bought this in Sept in 6.5 Creedmoor; mounted a 3.5 x 10 Leupold. Very accurate and tight groups. Shot an 8 pt whitetail in Wyoming at 180 yds and a 9 pt in Minnesota at 214 yds last week; one shot each. Fit and finish are very good. Love the rifle!

Got this a week before deer season. Sighted it in at 200 yards. Dropped my deer from 250 yards out opening morning. Have shot some other varmints and stuff with it for fun, and it is so accurate a dEpendable. So glad i made this purchase. It is well worth the money and the badlands wrap is Just an added bonus to a great shooting gun.

6.6-300 is perfect for Texas Sendero’s that go on forever! Using Weatherby ammo I get one jagged hole. Using a 10 power Leupold Sniper Scope it’s a perfect stand rifle! Will use on Nilgai soon.

Love the feel and look of this rifle. Paired with a Leupold VX-3i scope and Talley rings, it shoots like a dream. Be sure to follow the barrel break-in procedure, as advised by Weatherby, and you’ll have a rifle capable of consistent Sub MOA groups for decades to come.
