Bigger tip, bigger impact. Winchester’s first ammunition ever developed specifically for deer hunting. Deer Season XP copper impact ammunition combines extensive experience into a product engineered specifically for deer hunters. The Extreme Point, copper-solid bullet features an oversized impact diameter. The larger impact diameter means more impact trauma, better energy transfer and larger wound cavities for faster knockdown. The solid-copper bullet design offers improved weight retention for deeper penetration and a red, reinforced polymer tip for product differentiation from standard Deer Season XP loads. Additional features of this bullet include a streamlined ballistic profile and boat tail for flat trajectory, a hollow nose cavity for lethal, terminal performance and a solid-copper construction for maximum retained weight and energy transfer.

2 years agoThe image should definitely represent the product you are selling I think it’s ridiculous that you have a product your trying to sell under a big name brand name like basspro but you don’t have the correct picture of the product under the right description

1 year agoAt 100 yards I’ve shot sub 1/2 MOA. Today I shot a 2” group at 300 and a 2.5” group at 500. It was the first time I’ve shot that far. I would have been happy to get 1 on the paper at 500.

1 year agoI needed to get two boxes, but I only was able to get one box. This is the best ammo for this Winchester Magnum .300

1 year agoI love the ammo and it worked beautifully in my 300 win mag Browning AB3 Hunter Bolt Action Rifle. My 2 sons loved shooting the the rifle with the ammo as well.

1 year agoThis ammo shoots sub-MOA out of my Howa 1500. Not sure how it performs on deer but it’s very accurate. If you’re on the fence, I’ts worth a try.

1 year agoShoots sub MOA at 500 yards (sighted in at 200) with my Franchi momentum elite rifle. Perfect for anything from Whitetail to Moose.

1 year agoAs things change from lead to lead free, these bullets do a very good job in my Weatherby. I have just decided personally to move away from lead for the environment And these bullets do the job better anyway.

1 year agoThis round works great in a 243, good groups (3/4") out of my Weatherby Mark V and did a great job on deer. Worked so well I have purchased for two 30-06 and 6.5 Creedmoor. Money well spend

1 year agoI have shot this ammo in my rifle for about 5 years now it patterns well in my T/C Venture I have harvested several deer with it.

1 year agoI was hoping to hunt with something more eco friendly than lead this year and hoped this would do the job. Unfortunately, my normally reliable 30-06 couldn't produce a decent group with it. I switched back to the noslers I've traditionally used and the groups were spot on. Might very well be a good round for some, just not in my rifle.

1 year agoBeen using the lead deer season XP for years with no issues in my bolt action rifle. Wanted to try these copper ones out. Tested Winchester SP and Deer Season XPs mixed in during the same session to be sure it wasn't my rifle giving light strikes.

1 year agoI bought 2 boxes of these 300 wmr ammo two weeks ago. I went to sight my rifle in and out of 20 shells, 7 would not go completely in the chamber. The other 13 would. Not very happy these. The other box , will be returning. Now switching to another brand I will have to sight the rifle in again. Waisted time and money using these.. again

1 year agoI own a Browning Bar Sarfari II with Boss and have tried other ammo and could not get pass throughs and not getting quick humane kills. Purchased these to try and was impressed with 3/4 “ 100 yards group. Sweet spot Boss setting of 2. Shot a 150 hog tonight and she didn’t take a step. Shot was at 60 yards and center of shoulder. She was quartering to and the exit was last rib. Exit was not large but bullet could have fragmented. Regardless the bullet causes an enormous amount of trama. These animals are extremely tough so drop dead on impact shots are not expected. These rounds are my new go to rounds. We will see how they perform on deer but I think they will perform great!

1 year agoThese cartridges are probably just fine, but I`m annoyed at Cabela`s. I got an email from Cabela`s saying that something I had ordered before was back in stock. So I looked, and it showed Winchester 150 grain Deer Season rounds in .30-06. I had ordered the Deer Season XP, so I wanted more of them and ordered 3 more boxes. Well, when I got them, they weren`t the XP that I had ordered before, they were the Copper Bullets, and the ballistics aren`t the same, so these rounds do me no good. Shame on me I suppose for not having looked closer, but Cabela`s said these were what I had ordered before, so I didn`t look closer. And of course, ammo can`t be sent back. Just great. Thanks Cabela`s for sticking me with ammo I don`t need.

1 year agoThat when Cabela’s tell you they have limited stock, they mean it. I called stores in Saginaw and Auburn, Michigan. Both associates out of the gun department informed me they had only two boxes. Problem with both these people was I had to pick product up by 3:00pm that day, they would NOT work with me. Very disappointed with Mr.Shawn and Miss Kristen respectfully. A response person in Nebraska save the day and all is well. A Cabela’s member for many many years, was very disappointed in Cabela’s sell to Bass Pro, Mr. Morris is fisherman and nothing else.

1 year agoI was having trouble finding this specific Winchester ammunition in .30-06, but was able to get it online from Bass Pro. They arrived quicker than the estimate and are in great shape.

1 year agoI have consistently hunted big game for almost 40 years. When I initially shot the first box of Winchester copper deer season XP I found in the stores I was looking for better expansion with deer and pig with copper ammo. I consistently got 1-1.5 inch groups at 100 yards. Since I found this acceptable I bought 10 boxes a month or two later. These boxes shoot like a shot gun at 100 yards, with as much as 4” groups at 100 yards! This is totally unacceptable. When shooting 200-300 yards they are off as much as foot! Don’t waste your money on these rounds unless you are contact shooting and the deer or pigs are at the end of your barrel. I love the expansion in a copper round but will not buy anymore. I praised the rounds to friends and family now I have to eat my words and apologize. Come on Winchester help me out!

1 year agoShot 2 roe deer with this. One fell down instantly. The other ran 15 meters and dropped. Incredible accuracy in my Sako A7 308 20” barrel.
