I use this full metal jacket for hunting squirrels and hogs. For squirrels since it does not expand like a hollow pointk, it does not ruin a lot of meat. When on a federal reserve I can only carry what rifle is legal for hunting that day and many times it is just a 22. So i also hunt hogs and to down a hog with a 22 magnum you need extremely precise shots and something that can penetrate better than a hollow point. These were great for the range, no failures in either my Colt or my 94 Winchester. My only catch was they were a little more dirty than some higher priced rounds.
