Winchester Defender 2.75" #3 Copper Plated Buckshot 20 Gauge Ammunition 10 Rounds – SB203PD

Just out of curiosity, I shot some of this ammo back-to-back with similar, less expensive unplated ammo. I only shot 5 or so rounds, which doesn't prove much, but it did return a better group than the unplated. I'm not sure the slightly better performance is worth the money at 7 yards. The unplated certainly gets the job done and for less money

I tried this more expensive copper plated shot over the Federal blue box plain lead, thinking the plating would help keep the shot round and fly more consistently. But, honestly, with admittedly just this one box as a test, I couldn't really see any meaningful difference over the less expensive Federal unplated.

Great ammo for home defense. A little rich for regular target shooting or fun blasting. Definitely keep it in my shotgun when using it for home defense.
