Forty yards has long been the standard by which all turkey loads were measured. No more. It’s time to go farther with Winchester Longbeard XR. Featuring new-to-the-world Shot-Lok Technology. Longbeard XR offers the tightest patterns and longest shot capability of any traditional turkey load in history – with twice the pellets in a 10, circle out to 60 yards. Longbeard XR has the knockdown power of popular heavier-than-lead loads at a fraction of the cost, meaning it’s a turkey-slamming game changer for hunters looking to push the limits.

1 year agoExcellent turkey load, especially when used in conjunction with the Carlson Longbeard XR Choke. Killed three this year at 47, 55, and 62yds

1 year agoI have used Winchester XR shot shells for the past 12 years in my Remington 11-87 special purpose shotgun. I’ve found them to be consistently effective on gobblers out to at least 50 yards when using the Carlson choke specifically designed for the XRs. I recommend using them if you are looking for a reasonably priced shotgun shell for Turkey hunting. You will not be disappointed!

1 year agoI bought them for the NWTF 50th anniversary box but will definitely use them on a Longbeard next spring. When it comes to lead(led) , there is no beating LongBeard XR

1 year agoAbsolutely love these shells. Wish they had the 3 1/2 inch. Cabela's put a big price sticker on the front of the box ruining the collectability of it.

1 year agoWhen paired with the Longbeard choke, the 3" #5's pattern better than any choke and shell I've ever used. At 50 yards, it put about 50 pellets into the neck and head of a turkey target. In a Winchester SXP, it patterned amazing, but the trigger on that gun is 8 lbs. which make it very dificult to shoot accurately, which is needed at longer range.
