Purchased my 101 in October of 2016, I have ripped thru over 3000 rounds. My son has a Feild version, same story over 3000 rounds. Bottom line, No Issues. Pretty wood, great chokes, operations has been flawless. Barrels clean up and show no sign of ware. Lock up and trigger is smooth. Ejectors have not faltered. I would purchase these guns again in a second.

I've been shooting mine since I bought it 8 months ago. Absolutely no issues at all with the quality and performance of the gun. There are prettier shotguns out there but if performance is more important to you than looks then you should check this one out.

I picked this gun up in the beginning of January this year. Out of the box it has wood thats easy on the eyes, once you get that factory oil off of it and put a good grease and oil job on it, it breaks easy and locks up good. Ive taken it out twice since getting it and am very happy with the way it shoots. 23-25 every shoot. Dont hesitate to pull the trigger on this purchase if your an aspiring clay buster!

My review 2 yrs ago indicated that there was a trigger problem. After about 6 months I sent it back to the factory and the problem was corrected. For the money it's a very good shotgun, especially if you are new to sporting clays.

I bought one from basspro in spring 2018. At the time I was looking for a job and had extra time for skeet. In less than a year I put over 10,000 rounds through it at the skeet range at that point the forearm cracked and the gun wound up in pieces on station 4. I've heard one very similar story from a guy with the same gun at the skeet range. (the gun should last 500,000 rounds right?) However I agree it was a pleasure to use for the first 9,999 or so shots. AND I gave it a 3 because the Browning service center was excellent and they have sent me a brand new one to replace the one I sent for repair. I'm going to break it in this week and we'll see how it goes. Hoping the first one was a fluke and this one lasts because it is a good skeet gun. Perhaps if you are a dedicated weekly shooter like me it might be worth the extra $500 -700 for a Browning or Berretta Silver Pigeon?

I bought this shotgun back around Father's day and just had a chance to shoot it this weekend. Great gun which has a lot of great features for the money. I shot a round of sporting clays at a match and everything stayed nice and tight - zero issues with anything. I'll update in the future if there are any issues that are worth sharing, but right now I'm really enjoying shooting it.

I have been shooting trap for a little less than a year and I was really itching to buy my first o/u shotgun as I had been using my trusty pump shotgun. I had walked away from this purchase once telling myself that this particular o/u was an unnecessary purchase. Fast forward three months later and I again found myself at the counter with this beauty in my hands. I just couldn't say no and boy am I happy that I walked away with it tucked under my arm. The Winchester Model 101 is a fantastic o/u that is easy to move when tracking down clays. There is virtually no kick which makes it easy to track down that second clay in doubles, skeet, and five stand. I was hitting more clays with consistency and bumpiny my scores in the right direction. I'm not a firm believer that a change in gun selection will help you improve your shot but there's something about the change from a pump shotgun to an o/u that just feels right. If you have the chance to make this purchase then do it as I do believe that this model is a Bass Pro exclusive.

Bought this o/u a couple of years ago. Shoot about 100 shells/month. Shoots great, fits perfect, crushes clays. Last weekend went out, put my gun on the rack and noticed that a huge chunk of wood was missing off the forearm. All the wood below the release latch. Gun still shoots fine, but now I am in search of a new forearm. Don't want to send it to Winchester since it will take months and no longer under warranty. All-in-all it's a great gun to get into sporting clays at this price.... but beware of cracking wood.

Forearm cracked all the way through. Literally feel apart in my hand after the bottom barrel fired. A shame because the gun fit me well, shot straight and was cheap. I guess I learned my lesson and will need to pony up to a more quality gun.

I bought the 101 in March of 2020 and have put 3500+ rounds through it. No problems at all so far. Took me some time to get used to since I’ve been shooting an auto for years. Good looking gun for the money, not fancy by any means, but busts clays as good as any “pretty” gun. It gets the job done, hopefully the fore end won’t crack on it. Winchester/Browning treated me well when I was shooting the sx3, it took 17300 rounds to break it and they sent me the new part for free so I’m sticking with them. I’m partial to Winchester since I’ve shot them most of my life. There’s my 2 cents.

We have had the good fortune to have owned and shot a wide variety of fine o/u 12 ga shotguns. This Winchester 101 Ultimate Sporting is without a doubt, one of the finest performing shotguns available.

This particular model has a shorter LOP than other 101's, fits and points more like a Citori CX. Perfect fit for me as a smaller shooter, 5'7". Improved my Sporting Clays game drastically. Well balanced, soft shooting and a good weight. Quality, fit and balance, felt better than the comparably priced Franchis. Good looking gun, no issues so far. I believe they have fixed the forearm issue, seems well fit and dense, couldn't imagine it cracking as mentioned in other reviews but we'll see.

I have had my 101 ultimate sporting for over 2 years . Not one issues at all . Well over 1000 rounds not even a misfire . I would definitely buy this again . I have seen a lot of bad reviews on the forearm cracking and would say that it must be user error or something . My wood is thick and free floating of the barrels and locks up smoothly . I picked this gun over a Browing Cynergy and have never doubted ,my choice

Stopped in at my local Cabela's for a few items and had to check out the Winchester Ultimate Sporting 101. Right off the rack this gun looked great. Mounted this gun a few times in the shop and it fit me perfectly. The sale price made this purchase a no brainer. Spending lots of time on the Trap, Skeet and Five Stand fields.

I got it in March 2021 And since then going to the range every Sunday 150-250 rounds trap shooting Not even one issue The wood very nice made only I wish if they had stock with adjustable cheek rest

Bought this gun 2 sporting clay seasons ago, have shot 3k+ rounds through it not one issue. Only thing I did is tighten the foregrip screw the first week after seeing all the reviews about cracked foregrips. Recoil is minimal and has almost help me double my scores over the past 2 seasons. Great bang for the buck would highly recommend to others.

This is a very enjoyable gun to shoot. I purchased it in January of 2022, choosing it to help me learn various types of clay shooting. I’m not an experienced shooter, nor a large build man (5’8”/170 lbs), and this gun has been a pleasure to work with. I was always concerned about recoil on a 12-gauge, but this one has minimal recoil in my opinion. The finish and aesthetics are very nice, and the cost is reasonable. I’d recommend this one for sure. I am enjoying the process of learning better skills with this Winchester 101 Sporting from Bass Pro! It’s especially enjoyable to use it at the amazing “Bass Pro Shooting Academy” in Branson, MO. If you have the opportunity to visit there, please do! Great facilities and super staff.

Bought Product in AUG2022 Out of box failed to fire. Sent out for repairs- shot great-its now NOV2022 and same issue as before failed to fire same problem. Sent out again. Waiting for repair-Shoots great! Weight is great-fits great! I would love it more if it didn't have this issue..Only 4 stars due to trigger issue. This shouldn't happen more than once...

Overall, the shotgun handles well & has a good balance. The trigger pull is 6 1/2 to 7 lbs which is too heavy for a reasonable pull of the trigger. The front white sight bead sits too low & when I tried to replace it with a TruGlo or HiViz fiber optic sight there is a definite problem. The wide rib has a recess gully about 1/8" across right down the middle of the rib. The screw hole sits down in the middle of the recess. When you try to screw the new sight down, you find that the screws that are supplied with the sight kits are too short to reach the threaded hole which appears to be 6-28. I've contacted HiViz & I'm hoping that they can provide me with a longer screw. The gun shoots skeet & sporting clays very well, but shoots too straight for consistent trap shooting scores.
