I own a S&W 686 that is scoped. I have sighted this rig in hoping to take a whitetail with it this fall. I am sighted in at 50 yards and couldn't be happier with the group it has printed.

The 10mm Silvertip is still my go to carry load for my Glock 20 and Glock 29. Lots of new 10mm loads out now, but this one still has the best balance of bullet weight and velocity with a proven projectile that will expand. Out of my factory guns velocity thru my chronograph is right at 1200 fps. This is not a watered down 40 S&W level load. Accuracy is very good and recoil is not abusive.

Winchester's Silvertip is by far the best personal defense load for the money. I carry a S&W Model 60 .38 Special / .357 Mag and was looking for a personal defense load that I could also use at the range without breaking the bank. The Silvertip fits the bill. Now I can train all I want with the same load that I defend myself with.

This round is devastating. 100% destruction on anything it hits. Deer, bear, anything. Super accurate. I shoot open sights on a marlin 44 lever action and at 100 yards these rounds will hit where I aim everytime. I have used super-x ammunition for 20 years and it has never let me down once.

So smoky I was asked if they were black powder! They got the authentic black powder dirtiness as well. Lead bullets must be as soft as butter because even though a low velocity load, my barrel was smeared end to end with lead. At least the brass is good quality for reloading.

these are the winchester version FBI .38 spl loads. Very accurate, expands .55 to.60
cal in flesh, go thru. I have used these for defense, active duty, and hunting for many years.

I just received 1000 rounds of Super X 9mm. I am disappointed. I shot 250 so far and had 6-7 failures to chamber. The rounds got stuck below feed ramp. I'm using a Walther PDP full size 4". For comparison, I shot around 250 "other" rounds. No issues. I think, it's difficult to remember after several months, I shot around 75 "active duty" 115 gr rounds. Very dirty round. Smoke, dirty fingers.
