Its just not clean, good patterning shot. Cut one open and just look at the junk shot. Again, when there is nothing else on the shelf this is what you buy...

This ammo is right on spec and what I was looking for. I appreciate that there was no price gouging like other places.

Work great for Ducks in the decoys. Not so much for the 40 plus yard shots. It has a tendency in my 11-87 to spread out with holes in the pattern over 40 yards.

Incredible performance and groupings shot from my Browning Cynergy using Longbeard XR chokes. 140 pellets in the kill zone at 25 yds.

I solely used the Winchester Super-X Xpert Hi Velocity Waterfowl shells this year for duck hunting. I bought a couple boxes from Cabelas. They performed flawlessly for me. My hunting partner used some and loved them as well. I have already bought some more of these for next year's duck hunting season. The best part is that they are half the price of other shells. I strongly recommend using these shells.

With the Nationwide Ammo Sales surge I saw this deal on 250 rounds of Steel Shot at what I considered a good price. This gives me an assortment of loads for my 12 gage, The Steel Shot, 12 Pellet 00 Buck and 1 ounce Rifled Slugs to choose from.

Read the reviews after purchasing about how bad the pellets were. Opened one and the pellets had holes were of various sizes only a few were "round". I will not be purchasing Winchester again.

I like these for small game and small birds when hunting in areas where steel shot is required. Good for doves, quail, and squirrels.

I don't typically post reviews, but I had a box of these as a last resort to use for Ohio's 2021 opener. Well I went out and I was hitting teal up to 40 yards and dropping geese with the same load also. I thought hevi metal shot well out of my setup but I feel like with these I was shooting better.

In a non-toxic area, this is fine for small game, or even teal. But when the big ducks come this ammo doesn't do the trick. We've put it head to head with the cheap Remington or federal blue box, same gun, same shooter, same birds. The super X just doesn't have the penetration. Have cut open shells and the shot is very irregular in shape, size and pellet count.

Growing up in Iowa all we had when I was a kid was a shotgun slug only whitetail season, so I've been using Winchester 2-3/4-inch rifled slugs out of a 20-inch Remington 870 smoothbore slug barrel for about 35 years now. I sometimes still have occasion to hunt with slugs in some of Montana's weapons restricted areas. Out of my shotgun, these slugs turn in excellent groups at 25, 50, and 75 yards, good enough that I put a saddle mount and 3x scope on the 870 for slug hunting. Put them where you're supposed to and terminal performance is indeed just that on whitetails and mulies.

I bought three boxes of Winchester super X 12 gauge 3 inch 4shot. 4 shells dented the primer and did not fire. Very frustrating when the bird gets up and you hear "click". Then you have to keep the gun up in case there is a hang fire.

Cut open a shell and take a look at the shot. No two of the shot are the same. Looks like eggs and have dents/chips/holes. At $219 for a case, spend your money on another brand since I can now see people reporting these same exact issues 5-7 years back.

This is a great crip shell, and not bad for birds on the wing. With my favorite shotshells being 2x what they were just over a year ago, these will have to work. They are a good shell for the money.

The 2.75 inch BRI Sabot slugs are consistantly able to group 4 inches at 80 yards from my model 1300 slug gun with fully rifled barrel. I've killed more than 30 deer with them without ever a fail including the Boone and Crockett buck pictured here. Simply the best.

I prefer steel shot for duck hunting with decoys, no need to spend extra on tungsten or anything more fancy. At 50 yards these will get the job done for a great price
