I bought this firearm last month through Bass Pro for my 20 gauge only club. I was able to pick it up a few days ago, and took it right out to the rice fields. That first evening I doubled up on two pairs of mallards and knocked down a big bull sprig. The SX4 20 gauge with heavy metal shot 4 hit the birds hard. This is a great gun with zero recoil and kick back. I recommend this to all waterfowl hunters looking for something less than that 12 gauge.

I've only taken it out one time, but it performed flawlessly. Even after reading reviews I was surprised at how little it kicked for its light weight. I let my 12-year-old daughter who is pretty recoil sensitive shoot it and she could handle it easily and didn't want to stop. We only got one bird that afternoon, but it certainly wasn't the fault of the firearm. Just a short day. Not only would I recommend it, I'm considering buying one for my son to replace the 12 he usually goes out with.

Have had the SX4 for a few months now and have zero complaints. I've shot anything from 2 3/4" 7 shot lead to 3" BB shot steel and it has cycled everything perfectly. Shoulders very nicely. Light weight!

Bought this yesterday at Cabelas. Well built, nice trigger, not bad on recoil. Shot geese today with 3.5's and doesnt pound the shoulder, cycled shells perfect. Excellent value in my opinion. Very happy with the shotgun.

Bought in November jammed first time out set back to Winchester 7 weeks later they quoted me 170 dollars to fix the problem and will take another 6 weeks to fix. No warranty.Do not recommend this gun or Winchester.

I received this shotgun as a gift. I took it to the range to test it out. It cycled every round and never jammed up on me. Low recoil, my 12 yr. old son even got comfortable shooting it. Very good shotgun and I like the semi automatic action.

This shotgun is heaven made, I’m on my 3rd waterfowl season with this shotgun and have had 0 issues, the stock chokes are amazing and it gets even better if you get the SX4 a nice Carlson cremator.

Bought this in 3.5". Have had it now for two seasons, 3.5" shells are very hard to load since day one because they get caught on the lip going into the barrel. I clean it after every hunt, yet halfway through the first season started jamming. Have had to replace the trigger spring now twice as well. Doesn't even compare to my benelli.

Was deciding between this or the benelli SBE. After reading tons of reviews decided on the Winchester. Took it goose hunting and shot skeet. So far using 3 1/2 bb and light target loads it has worked flawless. Cleaned it well before first use and it patterns almost exactly like my benelli nova. Shoulders great and is light weight with way less recoil than the nova. Feels almost exactly like my winchester 1300. If it stays reliable like most reviews have said, it will be my go to gun. I have big hands and long arms and the grip and feel is amazing. Some complain about small grip but I love it. I'm 6' 2" 225 wear 35" sleeve shirt and Lop was perfect, shorter than the nova but I like a shorter lop in my shotguns. People also complain of this being front heavy but its not much different than the 1300 and feels great and swings easy. Action seems tight and strong and overall so glad I bought it vs the SBE and for the price I could buy another compared to the benelli.

SX4 12ga was the first semi-auto I have purchased. I did not want to spend over $1000.00 I reviewed several models and kept coming back to the SX4. I purchased it to Skeet Shoot with it. I have been skeet shooting 5 times before and my best outing was 53/100. With taking the SX4 out to shoot first time out of the box I shot 75/100. The SX4 was flawless. My shoulder was not hurting after. I could have shot more without issue. One of the guys I went with had a new Beretta A400 and goes weekly and shot 81/100. He was impressed with it. I was within 6 clays of him with my SX4 and it cost 1/2 the price. I will take it.

Bought this a few years ago from cabelas and absolutely love it. Need to clean it well out of the box to get factory oil off. Never had a jam after two season of waterfowl hunting with it. Throws a great pattern for turkey hunting out to 60 yards. Tested out quite a few chokes with it but by far had the best results with a code black duck patternmaster. Gun holds it own with benelli and browning.

This shotgun shoots 3.5" without any issues and it has similar felt recoil as my 3" Win 1300. It has a really nice finish and it is lighter than other shotguns i have used in the past. I highly recommend buying one of the shotguns!!!

So i was either going to buy the sx4 or the benelli sbe 3 I went with the sx4 . It shot the first 200 rounds flawlessly. then jammed 4 times out of the next 100 shells put through it. Im pretty sure it just needs more lube as i broke it down when I got home and thats what I think. Mostly the gas piston so maybe its my fault I kinda doubt it as I lubed it up before I left but maybe. Other than that Its a great gun. Do think the rice is a bit much but i also think its in the benelli sbe3 class for alot less so.

Always wanted one sense they first came out. Took it apart and oiled it up then went on a pheasant hunt. After shooting a box at clay pigeons last few rounds jammed, did the same in the field hunting pheasants. After the hunt we broke the gun down again and cleaned it well. Next day hunting the gun did the same thing wouldn’t eject the empty’s. Very disappointed in the gun!

Excellent gun for the price. I bought the 20 gauge. Comfortable. Good weight balance. Shields easy to operate.

Gun performs great. Used on ducks, and pheasants no issues. Cycles very well, can’t even feel the kick from the 3 1/2 shells.

I really enjoy this shotgun, I bought it for the sole purpose of duck hunting and it works great. Surprisingly light, and really cuts back on the recoil with the gas operating system. The trigger is crisp and it anchors well in my shoulder. It is the first semi auto shotgun I have owned, and it has been a great purchase.

The gun is everything I expected. It's really a great gun for the price. The online ordering experience/ship to store process needs work. When ordering online, you have to ship the gun to the closest store to you even if that store has it in stock. This makes no sense. If the local store has it in stock, then when you order online it should pull from their local stock and not have to ship another gun to that store. The employees at my local store were terrific, but Bass Pro - you can do better with your online ordering process.
