Pump action shotguns are a great choice for the young shooter getting into the sport. And the SXP has special features that make it a fast way to become competitive. Like the high, trap style Monte Carlo comb and a forearm the fits and feels ideal. A Truglo fiber optic front sight offers great visibility and the mid bead helps keep good alignment. This model has the addition (or better yet, the subtraction) of a shorter length of pull for a better fit for younger shooters. Satin finish walnut with raised Monte Carlo comb, ribbed matte finish barrel with hard chrome plated chamber/bore, Truglo fiber optic front side and ivory mid bead.
Features:
- Stocks are profiled for an ideal fit
- The advanced, high-strength alloy receiver is much lighter than steel
- The rugged rotary bolt design engages the barrel extension instead of the top of the receiver
- The inflex technology recoil pad utilizes directional deflection and a soft durometer for maximum comfort
- Convenient push button safety
- Faster pump-action, inertia assists you as you pump the forearm rearward to load for the next shot
- Most Super X pump hunting models are fitted with the Invector-Plus interchangeable choke system, it allows you to change choke constriction to the demands of the game being hunted or your shooting situation
- Satin finished stock with a high profile trap comb and forearm with traditional checkering to provide a sure grip when the trapshooting action gets fast and furious
- Compact 13 inches length of pull buttstock makes it an ideal shotgun for younger shooters or those of smaller stature
- Back-bored technology provides optimum shot patterns, even from the 27 yard line
- Invector-plus choke tube system offers consistent patterns to match your shooting situation hard chrome-plated chamber and bore make surfaces highly resistant to wear and corrosion for thousands of shells
- Black chrome protection on the bolt and other components lasts longer than traditional bluing
- 5/16 inches trap rib with TruGlo fiber-optic front sight and an ivory mid-bead produce a crisp sight picture on both rising and crossing targets
- 3-shot adaptor with speed-plug system is easily removed without tools
- Drop-out trigger group allows for easy cleaning
- Cross bolt safety is easily operated
- Inflex technology recoil pad directs felt recoil down and away from your cheek to help reduce flinch and fatigue, especially important when you’re going for 100 straight targets

1 year agoI bought this gun when I got into shoot clay. I couldn't afford a lot and this fits and swings perfectly. I am able to hit doubles on the sporting clays course because the pump is so smooth. I am consistently hitting the birds and having a blast. It is simple to take down and clean.

1 year agoOverall it's a great buy and good starter gun but you'd be well served to pattern it before shooting trap with it. I purchased mine in June, 2018 and never scored well with it despite shooting consistent clean rounds with four other shotguns including both a 16 and 20 gauge. Unlike field guns which distribute their pattern 50/50 around the point of aim most trap shotguns distribute their pattern a bit high, e.g. 60/40 or 70/30, allowing one to stay just below the target path. My gun patterned out more like 90/10 and even the 10% might have been a bit generous. I did shoot clean with it by staying well below target path. Knowing the characteristics of your gun and with good fundamentals one can be competitive against custom trap guns costing thousands.

1 year agoIf you’re looking for a basic shotgun that is both reliable and won’t break the bank, the SXP so a great choice. Nice fit and finish, fairly accurate, and nice extras included in the box. The only negative is the synthetic stock gets slippery when wet so make sure you have a firm handle and a sling.

1 year agoI had really high expectations for the Winchester SXP, and this shotgun far exceeded my expectations! The aesthetics of it are beautiful, with rich wood and nice engraving, this shotgun is one to keep in the family for multiple generations. The performance was incredible also. It’s lightweight, but doesn’t seem to have a strong kick, even for my w...Read More Read more about review stating SXP - The perfect shotgun, for me!
