Bought over a year ago, have ran 300-400 rounds threw so far(mainly just skeet shooting), have yet to have any malfunction. Have taken it out this season and is dead on for birds, grew up on the old Winchester 1300 pump so this feels amazing. Definitely a keeper of a gun.

I bought this gun last year and it has preformed great for me! It's light, cycles great and has very little recoil. The only issue I found with it is that it tends to get dirty fast after a few boxes of rounds.

I've had this shotgun for just two waterfowl seasons now, and until recently, it very much impressed me. The gun feels great in your hand, shoulders well, and seems to cycle anything you throw at it. The inertia assisted pump takes a bit to get used to, but does seem to speed up your follow through. Camo is durable and has not chipped or faded, despite heavy use. The issue I ran into about 3/4 through this season, is that the magazine throat had a small plastic tab chip off. With this tab broken, the trigger group no longer fit into the receiver perfectly, making shells no longer feed from the tube. This is a clear manufacturer defect, and is not uncommon; the material used in this part is subject to some level of force, and is made of cheap plastic. Thankfully, it is covered by warranty. Buyer beware of this issue, other than this, great shotgun. I give 3 stars just because it's not acceptable to have a debilitating issue within 2 years of use.

Bought this from Cabela's at the end of 2018 for the wife. Stiff and sporadic jamming plagued the first season with it regardless of the brand/length of shells we used. Chalked it up to an awkward break-in period until it seized right up at the end of the season. It's been in and out of the gunsmiths ever since. Almost a year of headaches now and still no end in sight. For the money, I expected more. Save yourself the headache and buy a mossberg or remington instead.

Was a little nervous of it holding up after reading reviews, but so far no issues and love this gun. Super light, swivels built in for a strap. I’m a large man, put a lot of stress on the pump action reloading and it hasn’t given me any issues. DRT Color matches my waders too!

Couldn't be happier. It's a lightweight gun that cycles a variety of rounds reliably. Get a hold of one you won't regret it.

I bought this firearm last month through Bass Pro for my 20 gauge only club. I was able to pick it up a few days ago, and took it right out to the rice fields. That first evening I doubled up on two pairs of mallards and knocked down a big bull sprig. The SX4 20 gauge with heavy metal shot 4 hit the birds hard. This is a great gun with zero recoil and kick back. I recommend this to all waterfowl hunters looking for something less than that 12 gauge.

I bought this gun 1 year ago. I have found after 1 year of modest use that this gun jams when I use 2 1/2” shells a lot. Very frustrating when you have a bird in the sights and the gun won’t eject the first shell you out in it. This happens a lot with my gun and I will be reaching out to Cabelas and Winchester. Maybe I just got a lemon?

Was deciding between this or the benelli SBE. After reading tons of reviews decided on the Winchester. Took it goose hunting and shot skeet. So far using 3 1/2 bb and light target loads it has worked flawless. Cleaned it well before first use and it patterns almost exactly like my benelli nova. Shoulders great and is light weight with way less recoil than the nova. Feels almost exactly like my winchester 1300. If it stays reliable like most reviews have said, it will be my go to gun. I have big hands and long arms and the grip and feel is amazing. Some complain about small grip but I love it. I'm 6' 2" 225 wear 35" sleeve shirt and Lop was perfect, shorter than the nova but I like a shorter lop in my shotguns. People also complain of this being front heavy but its not much different than the 1300 and feels great and swings easy. Action seems tight and strong and overall so glad I bought it vs the SBE and for the price I could buy another compared to the benelli.

SX4 12ga was the first semi-auto I have purchased. I did not want to spend over $1000.00 I reviewed several models and kept coming back to the SX4. I purchased it to Skeet Shoot with it. I have been skeet shooting 5 times before and my best outing was 53/100. With taking the SX4 out to shoot first time out of the box I shot 75/100. The SX4 was flawless. My shoulder was not hurting after. I could have shot more without issue.
One of the guys I went with had a new Beretta A400 and goes weekly and shot 81/100. He was impressed with it. I was within 6 clays of him with my SX4 and it cost 1/2 the price. I will take it.

I got this gun before this season and I have never had an issue of it jamming or anything breaking. I do treat this gun like my baby because it is my first gun, and I clean it every time I use it, but it is very easy to get used to and I have been told by multiple people that it is the lightest gun they have ever held. Even with it being light it does not kick bad at all. Overall a great gun, and I would not think to buy a different one

So i was either going to buy the sx4 or the benelli sbe 3 I went with the sx4 . It shot the first 200 rounds flawlessly. then jammed 4 times out of the next 100 shells put through it. Im pretty sure it just needs more lube as i broke it down when I got home and thats what I think. Mostly the gas piston so maybe its my fault I kinda doubt it as I lubed it up before I left but maybe. Other than that Its a great gun. Do think the rice is a bit much but i also think its in the benelli sbe3 class for alot less so.

This shotgun is pretty awesome. It Jamed one time, not for me but for my buddy. It has been pretty reliable for me. It handles the 2 3/4 all the way up to the 3 1/2 like a champ. It has a partial inertia system that unlocks the bolt from the barrel, and reduces the recoil. It’s light weight at 7 lbs, has a good trigger at 6 1/2-7 lbs on the trigger gauge. As far as accuracy, it’s really good for me. I shoot a lot of sporting clay and I Scott a really smooth pump cycle.

I really enjoy this shotgun, I bought it for the sole purpose of duck hunting and it works great. Surprisingly light, and really cuts back on the recoil with the gas operating system. The trigger is crisp and it anchors well in my shoulder. It is the first semi auto shotgun I have owned, and it has been a great purchase.

The gun is everything I expected. It's really a great gun for the price. The online ordering experience/ship to store process needs work. When ordering online, you have to ship the gun to the closest store to you even if that store has it in stock. This makes no sense. If the local store has it in stock, then when you order online it should pull from their local stock and not have to ship another gun to that store. The employees at my local store were terrific, but Bass Pro - you can do better with your online ordering process.
