This is rapidly becoming my new "go to" rifle! This rifle is very well made, and provides perhaps the best value for the money that I've seen! I mounted a Bushnell TRS-25 red dot sight (with hi-mount extension) and took it to the range for the first time today. With Wolf Ammo 123gr HP's, I sighted it in about an inch low at 25 yards at an indoor range; this should put it roughly dead on at 50 and 250 yards. The 5-shot groups were coming in at about an inch; with many of them cutting each … Read More

This SRC762 is hands-down my favorite AR-style rifle in the collection. Windham quality and construction is great; and a tremendous value for the price. I really like the combination of familiar AR-style and functionality with the harder-hitting (yet affordable to shoot) 7.62x39 caliber. I mounted a Bushnell TRS25 on a high-riser, and it was really quick to zero in. This gun has proven to be surprisingly accurate; particularly for offhand shots out to 50-75 yards. On the bench, I was … Read More

Bought this as a deer rifle for my 7 & 10 yr old. Mounted an EOTech XPS3-0. Used cheep wolf soft point ammo to break it in. The factory magazine did cause a couple rounds that wouldn't feed, but the I also ordered a non factory from Grab a Gun and it worked great. Every cheep round did go bang. Overall I am very pleased. Very fun to shoot. I think it will work out great as a brush gun for the kids and it'll be cheep to feed as a plinker. Oh, shipping from Grab a Gun was fast and they had the best price I could find on this rifle. I highly recommend Grab a Gun!

I bought my Windham Weaponry 7.62x39 about 6 months ago. It was great right out of ghe box but I wanted to squeeze every bit of accuracy out it. So I added a HiperFire 3g trigger, BCM lo-pro gas block, MFT stock, BCM grip, and a Vortex Strike eagle scope and mount. Before upgrades the rifle shot great, after upgrades rifle is unbelievable-a range hot rod. It shoots all steel without any light strikes 1-1 1/2 MOA, however with the right ammo (Hornady match steel SST) I have shot some groups of … Read More

not terribly accurate and serious failure to feed issues with brass and steel ammo and several magazines. Other than that, it seems to work fine.

The only reason I give this a 4 instead of a 5 is it took me a while to figure out if you want reliable feeding, lube the bolt carrier more then you normally would on a AR. Once I did that it has been reliable with everything including the cheap dirty TULA. With the gun scoped with a 3x9 Nikon shooting from a lead sled rest at 100 yards I put 10 rounds in just under 1" using american eagle fmj's."

This rifle is a phenomenal value. I knew it would have repeatable accuracy after watching the Windham Weaponry factory tour on you tube and seeing that they not only chrome line the barrel but also air gauge it to make sure the lining was done properly (without that rarely done quality check, chrome barrels can have worse accuracy because the chrome is not evenly distributed). Trigger was milspec 6-7 lbs and with the provided longer firing pin I had no light primer strikes with steel case ammo.
