The Bergara® MgLite Bolt-Action Rifle is the ultimate packable precision hunting rifle that features an ultra-lightweight XLR Element 4.0 magnesium chassis our Bergara's proprietary CURE carbon fiber barrel. A carbon weave with embedded strands of stainless steel makes this barrel unique and a star performer in heat dissipation. The XLR Element 4.0 Chassis is paired with a carbon fiber folding buttstock and grip. This is the first chassis system to come in under 2lbs. The MgLite has a built-in bubble level and a machined RRS 1.5" dovetail (Arca-Swiss) set in the forend. The 2-lug system found in the premier action utilizes a separate floating bolt head ensuring contact with the lug abutments. A cone-shaped bolt nose offers reliable feeding. The 1-piece, stainless steel bolt body features a pad at the rear, which accepts the threads on the bolt handle. A nitride coating is selected for its durability and self-lubricating properties. The TriggerTech trigger features a patented frictionless release technology, which can increase accuracy by eliminating unnecessary pull weights and creep found in many triggers.
